Midnight

June 2009 Update:

Just another quick update, Midnight is still doing great. I've got a pile of pictures to post to Flickr when I get a chance and I find the charger for the camera.

Midnight is acclimating to the neighborhood dog population very well. She's calmed down around other dogs, and with the exception of a few that are obviously unfriendly, she gets along with everyone great. Bunnies and squirrels still activate her prey drive, as do frisbees, but she's gotten used to not lunging on the leash, and only tears off after them when she's in the yard.

Thanks again!

May 2009: Midnight had her first real afternoon with another dog on Saturday. While Karen and I were getting massages we dropped her off with family, and she got to meet Oscar, the best behaved Goldendoodle ever. She played and played and played....I had no idea she could move that fast.

Zoomies +20% at least. She had a blast though, and was a total angel. Karen's cousins asked to keep her if we didn't want her any more. Rest assured we're holding on to her though. We're off to my parents this afternoon to meet Bravo and Brio, the patient and sedate GSRAW long coat shepherd (FKA Rocko) and the doubly rescued and somewhat hyper Border Collie.

She's starting to act a little more independently at home...I think she's getting used to being here. She was kinda clingy last week. The last couple of days she's been hanging out on the deck outside while we're inside, or vice-versa from time to time.

We're also having an easier time with the drops for her ear infection. She resisted a LOT the first time, but the last few have gotten successively easier. She also seems to hate us less each time ;-)

Overall she's doing very well, and we're very happy with our little girl!

Feel free to move her to Happy Endings whenever you like. We're not gonna let her go!
