Pete

May 2009 Update:

Hi Jo,
Just wanted to give you an update on Pete. Pete is doing just great and he just started his 1st obedience class this week. He is an excellent student and we are learning right along with him. We checked out a few different places for training and watched while the owners or trainers worked with the dogs. We decided on Rodak Dog Training as the best fit for us.

In his 1st lesson Pete learned to heel off leash do an automatic sit, down, stay and come. Ron and I were truely amazed at how well he responed to his training techniques. We also liked the fact that not only was he a good trainer, he also breeds and shows German Shepherds and is extremely knowledgable of the breed. He put us on to a food supplement that I would highly recommend to anyone. The product is Norwegian Kelp. It's a powder you sprinkle on their food once a day. It's 100% natural & organic. It has a lot of benefits for your dog from dry skin and allergies to arthritis and to aid in digestion. It also reduces in shedding and to improve the condition of the coat..

Pete has been on it for a couple of weeks now and you should see his coat.. When you pet him it feels like silk and it shines like you wouldn't believe. You can feed this product to cats, dogs and birds. I have to tell you Pete was the best birthday present a girl could ever receive. I thought I had something special the first day we got him but nothing will compare to what I know is in store for us in the future. Everyday the bond between us grows and grows.

I am hoping to send along a picture of Pete. I have been having a problem with my attachments lately so I hope it works.
I will keep you updated on Pete and let you know if he graduates from training and receives his certificate.

Laura

Jo,

Just wanted to give you an update on Pete. First off I don't know how we lived life with out him. He is the center of our world. He has so much personality we call him our Marmaduke in German Shepard clothing. He has adjusted so well to his new home you would never think he lived another life any place other than here. We soon discovered how appropriate it was to name him Sneaky Pete. Just when we thought we were doing a pretty good job of training him to our routine we soon discovered he had an agenda all his own. The little Sneak turned the tables on us. We find we always seem to have a free hand available to give him an extra scratch or to throw the toy just one more time. I have to be honest we wouldn't want it any other way.

Jo, Ron and I also wanted to thank you and the rest of the folks involved in the rescue efforts for being links in the chain that brought Pete into our lives.

Thanks again

Ron & Laura

We wanted to send you some pictures of Pete at his new forever home.
