Wanted to send an update on Hope. She is getting more comfortable at her new home but does not like to be too far from her new family (probably just her personality) and thats okay with us. We put a blanket on one of the couches for her, which works well unless we are sitting on the other! She loves belly rubs and lets us hold her paws (we're still working on nail clipping) and she is learning to accept commands from us very well. We go out in the snow and she runs circles around us, tail wagging likes going to fly off, and a big ol' grin! She DOES have a lot of puppy in her yet but she is a big sweetie. We moved her crate into our bedroom but, as it turnes out, most of the time she sleeps on the bed with us down by our feet. This, of course, displaced the cats and we are still learning how to relate. Its getting better and we believe that in time, they will be fine with eachother.

Over the holidays we went to visit family with other dogs and had a good time! Hope gets along very well with other dogs and does fine with extended family, at their house. When they come to visit us, she is a little less sure but we believe this too will be fine with time. We are enrolled in a training class that starts in two weeks and we are excited but we are sure that Hope is going to do great! Thank you for helping us give Hope a new home!
