Tess

"I've found my forever home, and boy is it great!  There's a little girl who likes to play with me ALL the time (sometimes she wears me out).  She draws pictures of me on the windows (see the picture?).  I think she does a great job.  She and I like to run outside and when she climbs trees I wait patiently for her at the bottom.  Okay, sometimes I get nervous that she'll fall, but she hasn't yet.  I have squirrels and birds in my yard and there are some dogs next door too.  I haven't really gotten used to them yet, but I'm sure we'll be friends some day.

Mom says she's going to finish fencing in the yard for me.  Usually I go out on the leash, but Mom's getting more comfortable with taking the leash off.  I listen to her very well.  She says it'll be even better with the fence up.  Mom likes to play with me outside, too.  Her favorite thing is call me from the opposite end of the yard and watch me run as fast as I can to get a treat from her.  I don't get to sleep on Mom's bed at night (she sneezes a lot when I try to do that), but she does let me sleep on the floor next to her.

We go to bed together after our nightly run and we wake up bright and early together, too.  When I hear the alarm go off in the morning I peer anxiously over the side of the bed at mom...just to make sure she gets up, too.My favorite toys are these little green balls that squeak.  I like to show my mom just how good I am at squeaking the ball, especially when she's sitting down to eat.  I've already worn the squeaker out on two of them.

The three of us are really having a great time together.  We've bonded so quickly and I can just tell we're going to be happy together.  I can't wait to see what the future brings!"

Love, Tess
