Hi! My name is Chance.
Hi, my name is Chance. I am a 9 year old black female shepherd. I was an owner surrender, so there is a history on me. I am spayed and UTD on shots.Heartworm tested-negative. I have never been cat tested, but my foster home has 3 cockatiels and I pay no attention to them. I am currently living with other shepherds, and have also lived with smaller dogs.
I am really not a graceful dog, so small children could be knocked over by accident. I am well trained. I know all the commands of sit, stay, etc. , and also take the hand signals for same commands. I was not really socialized a lot, but my foster family is working on this now. My foster Mom is impressed with my listening so well and taking commands on one word. She wishes her other dogs would listen as well.
I do need a strong leader and I will do anything you want. I also know some cute tricks for show and tell. I can sit up, roll over, and hold a biscuit on my nose until you tell me I can have it.
I was just recently seen by a vet. I am in very good health for a dog my age. I do have two problems that I and my foster family are working on. I have a hematoma on my left ear. I am currently taking medication for this. My ear is bent over now. There is a good chance (no pun intended) that my ear will be fully erect after this subsides. My second problem is I am over weight. My foster family and I are working on this right now. They have me on a strict diet to bring my weight down. This is to benefit me and keep me in good shape for a long life.
I would love to find my furever home. I bond easily and am very devoted. Just give me my "chance".
