Hi! My name is Maggie.
I'm Maggie and I'm six years young. I was surrendered along with two other dogs through no fault of our own. I've been with my foster family for a bit now and have adjusted well. My foster mom thinks that I'm doing remarkably well and I'm great at showing her what a goof-ball I am.
I am excellent in the house, mellow and easy going. I am totally house broken and I don't get into things that don't belong to me. I walk well on a leash which is great since I really need to lose a few more pounds.
I get along with other dogs as long as they let me be in charge so another mellow or submissive dog would be fine. Cats, if they move, I will bark at them, but when my foster mom tells me to stop it - I listen. Sudden movements frighten me a little so I would do better in a home with children over the age of 8. I am cautious around new people (as GSDs can be) but once I get know you - I love you!
My foster mom says I should go to a home with German Shepherd experience as I need to have a someone willing to help me build trust so I can face new experiences confidently. Then I will be a happy dog who will follow you to the ends of the Earth.
