I'm happy to report that Sammy is settling in nicely. Jim & Sam are best buddies. Check out the pictures. One session with Bark Busters made a big difference! We are able to convince Sam that we should be in charge - he's calmer and so is Sam. We still have to convince Sam that the fluffy tails are attached to the kitties and he can not sneak off with them - he carefully grabs the end of the tail with his front teeth and pulls. Puppies are such puppies!

Well, it's been a week and I have very few fresh contusions from the Samster. He is coming to grips with the humans being the "top dogs" - don't push us or chew on us. He has also let us know that he picks up on hand signals way faster than verbal commands. Verbal is just barking and it's a game.

He is also getting along with Alli - she shows him her nice GSD teeth and he backs off. And the kitties are getting close to Sammy without freaking. The only kitty problem is Bell's fluffy black tail - it really looks like a toy and Sammy wants to take it.

Yesterday Sam and I went to the dog park for about an hour. Big Fun! He found a couple of dogs that like the bump & run game just like him. They ran and ran. And I was very happy because he greeted all the dogs nicely, didn't fight with the one who humped him, and always came when I called him! People were quite impressed at how good my dog was!

Sammy wants everyone with GSRAW to know that "I AM SOOOOO HAPPY TO BE ALIVE!! Thank You for saving my life." He liked the attached pictures best.
