Allie is a 2-3 yr old German shepherd mix - possibly Border Collie in there somewhere.  She is a relatively quiet dog with good indoor manners. She sleeps in her crate happily. or on your feet.  She rarely barks and when she does it is usually for joy such as when she meets another playful dog.  To date she has only met one dog she didn't get along with. We have no other pets which I'm sure she likes because of the attention, however I think she would be fine with another good natured doggie friend or at least have the opportunity to meet and play with other dogs as she really comes alive then. 

 She has been cat tested with one very bold cat and it seems she knows cats. Yawn.  She has been with us a couple of months now and is getting an inferiority complex about not being picked! She needs to find a forever home as we travel a lot for long periods.  We are very impressed with her friendliness to people of all sizes.  She understand basic commands, is a quick learner and is good on the leash and now comes to the call when off the leash - which we only do when we no there are no other people or dogs otherwise she will run up to them to greet them. 

She has lovely food manners and is not a food oriented dog and can be taught without treats. A pat and praise seems to suffice.  We don't think she has been ill-treated although she is easily frightened by sudden movements and does not like thunder. We've found ways to ease her anxiety during storms. She loves to travel in the car and sits quietly or lies down and goes to sleep.  Please consider Allie for your home as she will provide joy and loyalty. We feel a fenced  yard is necessary not because she would run away but because she would want to say hello to everyone who walked by.
