Axl
Michaela,

Axl is settling in nicely and getting to learn the ropes of interacting with his new pack and also the rules of his new house. He actually played with his ball cooperatively with his two sisters in the house last night! He earned his last cup of dog food at about 9:00 pm last night one piece at a time by either sitting or laying by the couch and giving me eye contact. He was not sure of the "game" at first, but began to learn very quickly and it kept him busy, focused and quiet for at least half an hour. He does not seem too fond of the rule of sitting and waiting at the door until released, but he is catching on to that game quickly as well. He is still a bit nervous about his new surroundings, but has already started to show the first signs that he is willing to begin bonding with us. We can not thank you enough for taking the time with us both pre-adoption and on adoption day to make sure that Axl was the right dog for us. He is a beautiful, smart (and busy) boy and we are very grateful to have him as part of our family.
