Baron

Update from August 2008

Hi Deb! Just writing you a quick update!
Baron is still doing absolutely wonderfully here, despite a propensity to wash the baby's face each & every chance he gets!! No, seriously, you should see it, his body language is textbook submissive to her, complete with the placement of the facewashing being aimed at under her chin, ears back, head low, etc- it's so cute! He's probably most attached to her out of all of us (as a good guardian would be :). We've been stopped by people a number of times & told that he was the most beautiful dog they'd ever seen. You should've seen the look on their face when we told them where we got him from!

Best wishes & thanks again for all that you do,
Kathryn, Baron, & family

*******************************************

Hi Debbie & Carl & Carl 'Ford',

Just thought I'd drop a line to tell you how Baron's first day with us went. He LOVED the backyard!! Probably kept checking out where the other dogs were, though! We played ball until he went to rest in the garage, where it was cooler... then, in for supper. We ended up not tethering him so far, although we probably will tomorrow, just because he stuck so close it was pointless. He's done wonderful with the children, the only mishap was sticking the nice wet ball on Natalya when she was going to sleep :)- don't worry, she recovered in about 0.5 seconds. Maybe having two older siblings helps with that... We haven't introduced the cats yet, they're banished to the basement until tonight, when Baron wil be in the crate... then tomorrow or the next day, when I have him tethered & with a good squirt bottle close, we'll introduce. Thank you all again for the work that you do. It takes a really special family to foster & be the 'guinea pigs', to figure out what the perfect match for the dog is.

Cheers,
James, Kathryn, the gang, & Baron
