Lexi

I think Lexi has moved in! She acts like she has been here all along. She is starting to play with her toys and is less anxious each day. We bought a long training leash so that she can run some but still not have complete freedom, especially at night there are a lot of distractions walking around here and we don’t want to have to pick her up in Milwaukee. Yesterday, a friend came over to see her and Lexi put her ears down and backed away, I think she thought she was going to have to leave here for a new home. Poor dog! She did warm up when she figured out that it was my friend who was going to leave not her. My friend was amazed at how smart she is. (but isn’t that one reason why shepherd owners love their dogs!?!) Lexi is great with the cats and loves our old girl. Lexi has learned that four stays on the floor and is getting better about coming when outside, waits for the human to go through the door first and is a terrific buddy. She still has some anxiety when we leave the house and trashes her crate but every time we go it is trashed less than the time before. Lexi is a quick study and eventually, she will stop doing this. We really love this dog, from day one she decided that she was going to stay and has all of those wonderful shepherd loyalties and devotions that makes these dogs so special. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to add this great little dog to our home.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
