Hi Cate! I miss you and Jerry and Jameson and Porter! I cannot wait to see you guys! I do have to say though, this place is pretty great! There's a fence now so I get to run around whenever I want to! Hopefully you will all be able to come over soon and Porter and I can play again! I'm sending some photos with this - the first one is one that you took, the others are ones that my mommy took with her phone. They're not the best photos but you can see I'm growing into a handsome boy! I only put on one more pound when I was eating 6 cups of food a day so the doctor told me to eat 8 cups of food a day ... I'm really starting to fill out now! A few more pounds to go and I'll be set! Mommy and I hang out together every morning and then Daddy plays catch with me when he gets home from work. I love playing fetch and when we're not 'fetching it up' I'm working on catching balls mid-air! My timing's not the best yet but I'm getting better every day! Daddy says that I'm such an acrobat that when the snow melts, I'll be ready to catch frisbees! I can't wait! On the weekends we all go Snow-shoeing and I get lots of treats when I stay near them, but sometimes it's fun to run away and come barreling back past them! |

Well, I should get going. I just wanted to drop a line and say Hi, that I miss you and that I'm doing just fine here in my new home so don't worry about me. I'm getting more and more comfortable here and it's really nice to know this is the last place I'll have to move to. You'll have to let my mommy and daddy know when a good time is to get us all together again, it sure would be nice to see you! Thanks for everything that you did for me! I wouldn't be here without you! Love, Murphy" Sorry, I couldn't resist writing from Murphy's eyes :) Truly though, he's doing so great - he's such a little helper around the house! Yesterday, I was picking up towels from the basement and he picked one up, too and carried it upstairs with me! Once, Adam dropped a roll of duct tape on his foot and cried out. Murphy ran over, grabbed the tape, took it upstairs and left it in the living room ... our little protector (well, not so little!). He's about 75 lbs now - we'll see the vet in February for a follow-up on the Heartworm and weigh him again. I'm assuming that he'll be closer to 80 lbs by then and we'll go back to 6 cups of food a day, he burns a lot of energy running the backyard so the vet's not worried about him getting fat anytime soon. She actually used to own a German shepherd and knows all about his stomach and hip issues so it's a great connection to have. Thanks again for taking Murphy in when he needed someone to care for him. Hope to hear from and see you soon! Meghan |
