Rajah fka Sacha

Hi Jackie,

Rajah had a great Christmas!  He has been so much fun in the snow.  He has his platz (down) pretty solid now, and we have progressed to healing off leash.  He is doing great!  He is so into toys and such which has made obedience so easy!  He has gotten much better about cowering over discipline.  He used to just roll over and urinate on himself.  Now he just looks, listens, puts his ears down, reacts by going down, and then gets praised for stopping the behavior that got him corrected!  He still jumps a little on the kids, but they are learning to tell him down.  He loves to be around the kids!  He wakes them up in the morning by licks in the face.

He has become best friends with our little lab Lucy!  They are always together.  They even curl up next to each other in one dog bed.  I truly believe that Rajah has no idea how big he is.

He has been a joy bringing into our family!!  I will send you some updated pictures.  He has gained a pound or two!

Happy Holidays,

Jim

Good Morning!

Rajah is doing great!  I have taken a bunch of pictures.  I will send you a few of them.  He has his boundaries down perfect.  He doesn't challenge them at all.  He follows me around the yard like our lab does.  We have had one good dog brawl between Rajah and my female shep.  Rajah pinned her down after she got snappy and sassy.  No problems since then.  I was expecting a fight a little sooner than when it did happen.  Those two needed to work out the order of the house.  He is really easy to train.  He likes to hang out in the kid's play house, which is six feet off the ground.  He jumps right in.

Happy Thanksgiving

Jim

Jackie,

Sacha has been re-named, to Rajah (close to Sacha).  He is doing fantastic.  He got a little confused last night, and did not know where he was when he woke up.  He had to go outside, and couldn't hold it as he was running for the door.  He is a very emotional dog.  He really responds to the different voice inflections and tones.  He responds great to praise.  I have his sit pretty solid as of this morning and his down was started this morning.  He doesn't challenge the fence at all.  I showed him the boundaries and once that was done, he challenged the one boundary and got the warning tone.  He then stopped and turned around to come back.  We took lots of pictures last night, I will send you some of them.  What a nice dog!

Jim
