Justice

Hi Gailee,

Just wanted to let you know Justice made it through beginning obedience class.   We didn't always see it in class due to his anxiety, but if we compare his performance at home to how we saw the other dogs behave in class - I'd say he was one of the better dogs in the class from an obedience standpoint.

The trainers recommended taking him to a behavioralist prior to entering the intermediate class.  So we are going to visit one in April.  We are still trying to work him through his dislike of other dogs.  Right now we are working on making good things (like treats and massages) happen when he sees another dog and then focuses on us when we call his name.  It might be helping - too early to tell yet.

I also attached some pictures of him we took the other day.  The last two are of him fetching his favorite toy - a squeaky football.  It's what we usually play fetch in the house with.  His fetch toys only have a 2-3 week life because they get squeaked all the way back on the retrieve - so we go through "favorite" toys fairly often.

We still think he is doing well and is still showing progress.  Hope your puppies are doing well too!
