As promised, here are some "happy at my new home" photos of Stiehl. He has adjusted wonderfully, is eating lots, sleeping and generally behaving well. He and the cat are closer to being nicely acquainted every day - she stopped hiding on Monday and now is willing to let him come close as long as he doesn't move too fast. We are going to start working on short periods "unsupervised" in the house this weekend with the goal of him having the run of the place very soon, although he lays right down on his bed in the laundry room and seems quite content there.
Thanks for recommending "Dogs' Best Friend" for training. They sound terrific and have very convenient locations on top of that! We are signed up to begin class in November - earliest available but that's OK.
We are so grateful to have Stiehl - he is a fantastic dog and has immediately become a part of our family.
We'll look forward to seeing you at Dogtoberfest!
