Wilson (fna Dusty)

July 2009 Update:

I just thought I'd send you a couple of photos of Wilson and Muriel to show you that (as they say in the South) "Doin' alright".

Wilson has turned into a one person dog, Muriel's no less.  He follows her like bees follow honey, he never lets her get more than a few steps ahead of her.  Oh well, I've got the same thing with Kala.  I guess you could say she's got hers and I've got mine.

Wilson has gone through quite a change.  When we first got Wilson, AKA/Dusty he was a dog with many problems, would poop and pee on the cement floor in our basement, never on the carpeted areas though.  We could not break him of this, until we moved to Tennessee.  We finally put 2 and 2 together, the poor dog was kept in a garage as a guard dog at night and had no place else to go, thus the cement floor would do just fine.  Once we moved to Tennessee, no more cement floors, no more problem, it stopped completely.  We humans are so brilliant some times.  If we could only think like animals perhaps life would be a lot less complicated.

Wilson runs up to the mailbox and back, quite a feat, since the mail box is only 843 ft. away, one way.

We left the animals for the first time ever.  Had to go up North for Muriel's Mom's funeral.  Everything went okay after the first day.  The first day Wilson wouldn't let the fella that we had take care of him in the house.  After talking to him for awhile, he finally realized that he was alright and if he wanted to get fed he would have to let him in.  From then on everything went pretty well.

We thank the Lord everyday for letting us have Wilson, He truly is a blessing.

I have attached a few pictures of Muriel with her shadow Wilson in her/his new toy.  He truly does love her and as you can see would follow her anywhere.

Until next time,

Rich & Muriel
