For Aiden
I had a rough start
coming into this world
The scary things it seemed,
at me, were unfurled.
I was only a baby
when taken to a scary place
Some days I wondered
if I'd see a friendly face
My foster mom came
out of no where to rescue me
A true angel of mercy
I thought she must be
They said I was sick
and she must be really careful
But much to her credit,
she wasn't that fearful
She showed me the
love
I needed so bad
And gave me the security
that I never had.
My two foster
brothers,
they showed me the ropes
A family of MY own
was one of my hopes
One day St. Francis
looked down from above
And said "This little boy
needs his own family to love."
My foster mom had
this great
family checked out,
After all she said,
"That's what rescue's about."
So my happy ending is
I am NOW RJ Weaver
And even better yet,
I never have to leave here.
