Alex update 09/05/05: Jo, I keep forgetting to forward pictures to you, and now my digital camera is broken. I will get it fixed and shoot some more your way soon! Alex is doing great. He is my best buddy and he follows me everywhere. He is getting more obedient every day. I wanted to let you know that getting Alex and meeting you inspired me to become a foster "mom" for a German Shepherd Rescue here in Minnesota. I currently have my first foster dog named Ellie. I really enjoy it and I think it is such a great cause! Hope to talk to you soon! Anne, Brian, and Alex |

Alex update 07/17/05: Jo, Hello, just wanted to check in and let you know Alex is still doing great. He seems to be very happy with us, and we are so happy with him as well. We take him for a long walk at least once a day and to the dog park as much as possible. He loves playing with other dogs! I sometimes wonder if he misses his brother though. He truly is my best friend, and my protector. Brian is going to be going to Iraq this fall and I can't think of a better companion while he is gone. I will send pics soon! Anne |

Good morning Jo, Alex is doing well, he is as loving as ever! He follows us wherever we go and loves to play ball outside. He loves to cuddle on the couch with "Mama" and check out what his "sister" Molly the cat is doing. He is truly a great member of our family. This weekend he will be meeting Brian's daughters Alix 10 and Paige 9 for the first time. I know they will love him as much as we do. I brought him over to my mom's house Monday to meet "Burt" a dalmation / black lab mix and "Jonas" a Golden Lab and he walked right in like "I'm here- now we can start having fun!" Burt is the "Alpha" in the family so he was a little wary of Alex at first because - being the puppy he is - he immediately started playing. Burt growled at him and Alex ran and hid under the table! (even though he is twice the size of him ;) By the end of our visit though, they were all tail wags and friendly play! Thanks! |
