Britta has been with us
for almost a week now, and what a terrific week it has been. Bob and
I often look at her and think how did we get so lucky? She is
undoubtedly the sweetest, most loving, affectionate, kind, docile gal we
have ever met. At first, we thought our darling cats Kobie and Cleo
would never be able to make the adjustment to having a dog in the house,
but the three of them are getting along grandly, or at least staying clear
of each other and respecting each others boundaries. I would have to
say that Britta is the most respectful of the three. She is a bit
frightened of the cats. We keep telling her she's a German Shepherd,
but she isn't convinced! It has been a long time
since I have had a dog, and Bob has never had one, and what a wonderful
"first dog" to have. She is truly a gift. She is so
gentle with children too! I took her to the park yesterday where
there were some little league football games, and a bunch of little girls
(one as young as 2) came running over and asked if they could pet Britta,
and she just loved them all up. Everyone who sees her tells me how
pretty she is, and of course they're right on. We are really
enjoying our walks with her, and our trip to PetSmart, and I think she's
pretty happy too. She LOVES car rides! Thank you Sue for helping
to bring this wonderful creature into our lives. We just love her
and are so happy that she is ours. Thank you Kim for assuring us
that she the cats would come around and that Britta would make the
adjustment as well. Your reassurance meant so much. God bless
you in your work and thank you for introducing us to our special gal.
She is home forever. Bob and Ronda Beggs |
