This guy makes everybody's day. He is so passive you wouldn't know its the same dog. He gets walked every morning and every evening. Yesterday was the first real day of back to work and trying the kennel thing. I put him in at 8:30 and my daughter had him out by 9. Lisa put him back in at 11:30 and Brad came home from work and had him out by 12. He just loves the run of the house. He doesn't destroy anything and has never had a mess. He either comes to me and whines or he knows already to ring the bells.
I made an appointment for his first visit to the vet for next Tuesday. I will let you know how it goes. Its 6:30 and we just got home from our walk. We left around 4ish. He is so sociable he has to meet everyone. I even walked him to school to meet my teacher friends. The only one he was leery of was Brian out night custodian. I notice he seems to be afraid of fair haired men. He also gets very nervous with a group of three. All trial and error.
He has his favorite spots he likes to lie down. One is on the floor at the foot of our bed and the other is on the step landing downstairs. We always know where to find him. Today I came home from work and he greeted me at the door just as passive as can be. I always expect some jumping and go nuts behavior but nothing of that sort. My son was on the computer upstairs and Durango just amuses himself in the house.
Durango is most happy to sleep in our bedroom in his kennel. Not a peep, ever. Last night at 11 I just couldn't stand anymore Packer failure and called it a night. Around 11:30 I hear this rustling and its my son lying on the floor petting Durango through the cage telling him how much he loves him. I choked back the tears it was so tender. I finally got rid of him and the daughter comes home from work and she is doing the same thing. I cant’ tell you how pleased we all are. He is loved so much by all of us, we just cant imaging our world without him.
