Eddie
wasted no time hopping into Jason and Melissa's car and making friends
with her new canine sister Lady. Here
is a letter from her new family: Hi everyone, I just
wanted to drop you a quick note about Eddie and how much we all love her.
She has completely exceeded all of my expectations.
Eddie (whom we have decided to call Ellie) is not only a beautiful
lady, but she's calm, sweet as can be, and so smart too.
She has gotten along fabulously with Lady, which has been a very
pleasant surprise. Aside for
a brief tussle over a toy, they have been nothing but nice to each other,
and are already happy canine sisters.
They LOVE to play with each other, but are also content to calm
down after a few minutes and lay down for a nap near each other.
It's very cute, and you can tell that they both enjoy having a
friend so much. Ellie has
turned out to be a real "velcro dog" with me - she follows me
(literally) wherever I go, even if it's just across the room!
It's very endearing. She
loves to give kisses to both Jason and I, which we're always happy to
accept. Ellie was a bit
lonely and confused when we initially brought her home on Saturday, but on
Sunday she seemed much less anxious and quite happy.
I know it will take some time for her to completely realize that we
are her new "pack," but I definitely think she's settling in
here. I took some
pictures of Ellie and Lady tonight - I will send you some as soon as I get
them developed. I want to
thank you for bringing this wonderful girl into my life - I get so much
happiness out of just having her near.
She is a complete delight, and I want to commend you on the hard
work you put into finding dogs like Ellie loving homes.
She (and the rest of our family) certainly appreciates it! I'll keep
you updated . . . . Thanks so
much, Melissa (and Jason and Lady) |
