Frankie

Update 2/23/06

Hi Jo,
Just wanted to give you an update.  Maybe you could put this on Frankie's happy endings web page.  Frankie has been w/us now for almost 5 months and he has settled in just fine.  We love him!!  I am so grateful for your help and everyone involved w/matching him up w/our family.  It must have been fate that we were looking for a shepherd at the same time Frankie needed a home.  I have had many comments from people on how lucky we are to have such a wonderful dog.

Frankie will have a long happy life here w/lots of lovin, playing and chasing rabbits.

Hi there,

Frankie is doing great!  We love him!!  His main obstacle to get over was fear.  Poor guy didn't know how to act, but is over that now.  It hasn't taken long for him to adjust to us.  He appears to be very happy.  He is my shadow.  Loves Nicole and follows her everywhere especially since she's running from room to room. He's right there w/her.  And just loves to play also.  It's taken longer for him to get to know Bob, but understandable. Bob is gone all day, but they're getting along well also.

Frankie seems to have some eating issues...Ha Ha.  Our other shepherd did too at his age.  So I started him on 3 meals a day adding special goodies, then to 2 meals and now he is eating 1 meal a day at dinner time and is looking good.  A little on the thin side when he arrived.  He also eats better if I stand by him.  My little baby.

Frankie loves to go for walks.  He also walks well with the stroller. Frankie is just a sweet heart and we are very happy that we were able to adopt him.  I am just amazed that he doesn't need crating, he stays off the furniture, he doesn't go into the garbage and doesn't bark very much.  What else can you ask for?  He's perfect in my eyes.  Thank you so much!!!!!

Thanks and talk to you later.....Allison
