Hi Michaela!
Sorry I haven't written you lately but we've been so busy, Freddy included! The nice weather is finally here and we've been spending so much time outside doing stuff. O.K., all the new stuff: Freddy has a new best friend, his name is Buddy and he's a 6 month old pit bull (really sweet dog but really dumb too!). They're just absolutely in love with each other. Buddy is a friend's dog and he was out of town last weekend so we offered to dog sit for him. A couple of days before he was leaving, we introduced the boys and they hit it off from the start. Over the weekend when it rained we were in the house and I moved the coffee table out of the living room and it was like a dog wrestling arena, they had a lot of fun, and even shared their food with each other. Freddy is such a well behaved boy, he shakes, lays down, his recall is getting pretty darn good, he catches a ball now, he also stays like a pro. We can tell him to stay and throw his ball and he won't even budge until we say it's ok. His peeing thing is pretty much gone and we never even had one real accident in the house, it was only the little bit when he got excited once in a while. I don't crate him at night anymore because he likes to sleep with me better (he's such a snuggler) and I only crate him when I'm at work. I don't think that will last much longer either. I've got an appointment with the vet next week for him because he needs his heartguard and I'll have the vet give him a good once over. I took him on Monday to get a bath and his nails trimmed, he was such a good boy and the girls there absolutely loved him. Anyway, I just wanted to write you and let you know that we're absolutely in love with him and he's the best boy ever! Talk to you soon!
