She came to us as a loving skinny little thing, kind of scared of new things. VERY possessive of her territory. Tundra didn't quite know what to think after having just lost her best friend Gomer to cancer, but she kept trying until one morning while I was getting ready to go to work the two of them started pouncing and playing like cats! One would pounce and then the other would pounce back, now it's a morning game. The two cats just sit and watch the silliness. She still has issues with other dogs but with time and loving firmness we're sure we'll get her to come around. She loves the grandkids and kisses them every time she can, she brings them her ball to throw and lets them take it right out of her mouth. She is learning to chase chipmunks, squirrels and raccoons when they come in the yard, and she has helped me re-arrange my flowers every time I try to water by dragging the hose around or just chasing the water into the beds. She decided she wanted to go for a ride so she hopped in the car with my granddaughter, while my daughter was trying to get her in her car seat. All in all she is doing just fine in her new forever home. When I have pictures I will include them. The other thing I forgot to mention is that Tundra is trying to teach her to sing like she does when the M.A.S.H. theme is playing on T.V. so now I have a duet to listen to, which is fine at 5:30 at night but I wonder what the neighbors think when they start at midnight and the windows are open! |
