Hi, My name is MJ and I didn’t make it to the website. My foster mother, brother and sister took me in from animal control when I was 5 months old. I immediately came down with an upper respiratory infection and was pretty sick for about 3 weeks. My foster mom took really good care of me and my foster sister Penny was by me all of the time making sure I was ok. When I finally got better, my foster mom knew it was time to put me up for adoption. Well, when I was sick, I would lay on the couch and snuggle with my foster mom ( and look at her with my big brown eyes)and played nice with the other guys. I knew one of my challenges was to make sure Brody liked me. Sometimes with fosters, he hides in his crate and that if he still did that with me, I wouldn’t stay. The first night after the last foster left, Brody was out and being apart of the pack. Yeah! I am not a high energy dog, so my favorite thing to do is to lay on the couch and chew on a bone or a soft toy. I knew if I played my cards right, this could be my forever home. See, I reminded my mom of her dog that passed away last year named Max, who also came out of animal control at 5 months. She even named me after him, Max Jr. in honor of him. She kept telling me that I needed to do naughty puppy stuff so she could put me on the website. I knew better. Well, the night I knew she was making the decision to put me up for adoption, I made sure I snuggled in real close to her and gave her a couple of kisses for good luck. IT WORKED. She decided she could not part with me and I am now in my forever home. It is so awesome!!! Penny, Brody (GSRAW alumni) and I run around the yard and have fun, we share our toys and like to sleep next to each other. I am so lucky to stay. My Mom knows that my personality is not like Max's, but felt he was watching over us and knew this home was perfect for me. |
