Nitro

In May of 2001 we Adopted a Red and Black German Shepherd named “Nitro” from German Shepherd Rescue Alliance. At that time he was 8 months old and full of energy.  At 1 year and 10 months, he still is full of energy, but has calmed down since we got him a girlfriend. He weighed approximately 50 to 60 pounds when we got him he now weighs 82 pounds. He is very good with kids and a very loveable dog.  He likes to chase birds, squirrels and rabbits in the yard, and he loves to go for car rides also. Nitro is our 2nd German Shepherd we have had as a family, unfortunately he is unlike the 1st one we had but he is still a wonderful dog and I and my family are very pleased. We would definitely refer the German Shepherd Rescue Alliance to friends and family.

The Ruda Family

[Nitro came from a shelter in Illinois.  We were told by the shelter that they thought he had severe dysplasia.  What we found was a beautiful young dog that was not dysplastic but most definitely from European lines (sloped in the back end).  He was and is quite healthy and has turned out to be a beautiful young dog.]
