Everything is going very well.  We have renamed Axel.  He is now named  Barkley.  He never did respond to the name Axel, and he is already responding to Barkley.  I will send later today possibly.  I won't send too many because I want to put some weight on him first, but I am pretty sure Amanda took a whole bunch of pictures on Monday.  I am going to try brushing his teeth today.  I will send more updates soon.

      I was showing some people at work pictures of Rogue from the Happy Endings page, and I realized it had been a while since I sent you an update.  Rogue continues to do very well.  She absolutely adores Amanda, and has settled in well with me (when Amanda isn't home she even asks me for attention).  She loves going to the dog park in Verona and visiting Amanda's parents' dog Scully (a golden/pit bull mix) in the Green Bay area.  She gets along well with cats (although she is occasionally jealous when we give them attention).  She still is very wary of strangers, especially male strangers, although I am not so sure this is a bad thing when I am on call and Amanda has to take her for a night time walk alone.  Anyway, we had a wonderful first Christmas with her and I will try to pass along pictures of that when I get a chance.  Thanks again, we love Rogue very much.

We absolutely love Rogue.  As you know, she came home with us from her foster home on May 6, 2004.  The cats were a little leary of her at first, but they are adjusting.  She is still somewhat leary of me, but we grow closer everyday.  She absolutely adores Amanda.  She follows her around all the time and she is very playful.  She loves going for long walks and meeting other dogs on the way.  She met my Aunt's two dogs on mother's day at my grandmother's house and had a wonderful time with them.  She is not eating all that well yet, but she wolfs down braunschweiger and will eat her purina dog chow when we mix it with some canned dog food.  I can't imagine our lives without her and I cannot thank you, her foster parents and your organization enough.  We'd been looking to adopt a dog for quite a while and had not found the right dog for us at the Humane Society when I stumbled across the GSRAW web site.  I read about Rogue, and she is perfect.  She is quiet, good with the cats, and full of love.  She is the perfect addition to our family (now six members strong).  Thanks again.
