Rupert

Rupert is doing great! Thanks to the great fostering efforts of Mary, Ian and Anna Gilberts, Rupert has adjusted quiet nicely to our home and has bonded with the family.  He is a healthy, happy boy who enjoys long walks, chasing tennis balls, sleeping on his 'woobie'  (dog bed) and playing with our 12 week old kitten Rocky.  He is very intelligent, was easily housebroken, responds to his name and some basic commands,  He has bonded with all of us and we love him to death.

This week Rupert enjoyed his first snowfall.  Although at first he wasn't quite sure what to make of the white stuff falling from the sky, it wasn't long before he was chasing snowflakes, digging his nose into the accumulated snow on the ground, and rolling in it in obvious delight.  What a dog!  He is eating well, and has strengthened his muscle structure to the point where our vet is no longer worried about any possible future difficulties.  He was recently neutered, and came through like a champ.  Rupert is obviously a mix, and we are still waiting to see if his ears will look more like a German Shepherd, or if they will be lab ears.  Rupert has enriched our lives and we are so grateful that we have him in our lives.  Thank you for allowing this great gift!
