Sarge

Sarge and sister Magda already hitting it off!

UPDATE 4/3/06

Dear John,
This is Mari, Ed and Terry's daughter...I"m the one in the picture giving the two dogs treats on Sarge's arrival.  I want you to know that he is doing well.  Magda got spayed on Tuesday, so hopefully that will be good for the two of them.  I plan to enroll Sarge into Obedience classes, but not sure when.  I taught him down, come, and we are working on stay.  He is a quick learner, and we love to have him here. I noticed that he is very head shy, and becomes agitated when the collar is taken off, but I am working on desensitizing him to that.  (I frequently do it with the training horses that come in, so I am very patient.)  I really just wanted to send you some pics that we took of him. Unfortunately the best ones are on a roll of film I just used up, so I will have to scan them for you.  But here are some for you!  Hope you like them.   Maybe you can come visit him soon and see how
much he has grown.  When he got his blood tested for his heartworm, he was
86 pounds, I believe.  He is at least 4 inches taller than Magda.  Well, hope you like the pics!
Sincerely,
Mar

Dear John,

My daughter still hasn't downloaded the pictures to the computer...

But, we took Sarge to the Vet on Tuesday for his heartworm blood test and to get him weighed for the correct dose of medicine. He's up to 79.7#!!!

He's gotten SO tall in the past two weeks!  He was so scared when we put him in the car, poor guy; he thought he was "moving" again. He was excellent at the Vet, he only cried a little when they drew his blood. With a little soothing, he calmed down quickly. He even gave the Vet tech a kiss when it was all done!

We will send you the pics when they're ready.

Thanks for everything!

Terry, Ed, Sarge, Magda and the Kids
